Purple and Silver Halloween inspired make-up

Hello my lovely readers, since Halloween is getting closer and closer I thought about doing a Halloween inspired make-up look (meaning doing a make-up look that’s completely out of my character). I am usually bold with my lip shades but I am really not into colder purple-blue toned lip products. Today I decided to wear on my lips a Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in 26 Havana with a purple-silver mix on the eyes. I have thought about showing you some of my daily make-up looks and the products I use for a long time because I want to show you the products in the make-up look, on the face, not only in swatches, writing about them.)  Let’s begin :

I started with a face cleanse using a micellar water, then applied a cream with a high SPF to moisturize the face. After letting it be absorbed into the skin I applied the Bourjois Air Mat Foundation onto the face in two layers with my Sigma kabuki brush, blending it well onto the face and neck. I followed with the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (my recent favorite, soon on the blog), covering my dark circles and I set them both with the  Melkior Loose Powder.

Onto the cheeks I used one of my favorite powder blushes the MustaeV Cheeky Chic blush in Floral Glow and highlighted the skin with my new Nyx Strobe of Genius Illuminating palette (I used the purple illuminator from the top right side).

Then I moved to the eyes, I used as a base the Lancôme Hypnose Doll Eyes Dazzling & Fresh eye shadow in 111 Diamant Argentee, a cream silver eye shadow. On both the bottom and top I defined the eyes with the Teez Cloud Nine eye liner in Violet harmony and over it I applied the dark purple shade from the Nyx Ultimate Shadow palette in 04 Brights. I blended the edges with the lighter lila shade from the same palette.

I used in the crease a brown-orangey-light shade from the same palette and as a highlighter under the brows and in the inner corner I used one of the highlighters in the Nyx Strobe of Genius Illuminating palette.

I used my Catrice Glam & Doll false Lashes mascara in two layers on the top lashes and the newly discovered Yves Rocher Vertige Longeur on the bottom lashes to better define the eyes.

On the lips I used the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in 26 Havana in three layers. I love its creamy-soft texture that does not dry the lips but this lipstick is not opaque from the first layer. You have to build it to get the desired effect. I applied one layer, wait for it to dry then applied another, and so on. The end result was this :

Then I wanted to try adding some more lila highlights to the lips first, I applied the purple illuminator from the Nyx Strobe of Genius Illuminating palette over my Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in 26 Havana  and got this result :

I hope you like the make-up look. You can find the products I used in the make-up look in stores and online (you can buy the Teez brand in your Pick N Dazzle box). If you have questions related to the products I used in the make-up look, don’t hesitate to ask! I would love to hear your comments, ideas, proposals. Keep them coming ! Until next time ,   Love, M
