I’m back my lovely readers with a new post. Today it’s a wonderful, warm and sunny spring day so I thought about showing you a fun lilac-themed make-up look. You know I usually love to use neutral shades on my lids and strong, bold lipsticks. This time I decided to do a more colorful lilac eye look accompanied by a neutral lip.
I have thought about showing you some of my daily make-up looks and the products I use for a long time and it has proved difficult for me so far since I often don’t have time to photo the products and the make-up look. But I’ll try my best ; I want to show you the products in the make-up look, on the face not only in swatches, writing about them. Let’s begin :
Starting with the base, I applied around one full pump of Inglot HD Perfect Coverup foundation (review soon), mixed with MustaeV lustruous cream base, onto the face with my Sigma kabuki brush, blending it well onto the face and neck.
I followed with the Clinique concealer, covering my dark circles, then I set both the concealer and foundation with the MustaeV Silky Cotton Loose powder (review soon). If I set the liquid/creamy products with powder they will last all day onto the skin together with the make-up.
I applied the MustaeV Cheeky Chic Odd Pink blush onto the cheeks (a lovely fresh pink blush). I really believe that a good blush suitable for your skin and hair color works wonders! It revives a tired complexion, makes you look good even if you are sick and makes you look younger and fresh if applied sparingly for a natural effect.
Over the top of the cheeks I used the MustaeV Light On Face Architect powder to add a glow to the skin (I have to admit that I wanted to try more MustaeV products so I asked Tavia from Chicprofile.com to lend me some of her many MustaeV products to try – MustaeV Cheeky Chic Odd Pink blush, MustaeV Light On Face Architect powder and her gorgeous eyeshadow palette filled with beautiful mono eyeshadows – I love them all, can’t wait to play with them some more).
I used some of the MustaeV mono eye shadows from the palette to create the lilac spring eye look I wanted. I used the Lilac mono eyeshadow on the lid and the Bewitch in the external corner of the eye to give it a stronger look. In the crease I used one of my very favourites the nude, matte Pekoe eyeshadow and highlighted the inner corner of the eye and under the brow with the gorgeous mono eyeshadow in Scales. Loooove it!
I applied mascara on both top and bottom lashes – Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara/Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus Full Treatment Formula (one of my very favourites). I also filled my small gaps in the brows with my love Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown.
On the lips I kept a neutral look, with MUSTAEV TEN SHADE LIP CREAM PRO PALETTE, the shade 1 on my post Orange (on the MustaeV site). The stars of this make-up look are the lilac eyeshadows therefore the lips are nude and discrete.
I hope you like the make-up look. If you have questions related to the products I used in the make-up look, don’t hesitate to ask! I would love to hear your comments, ideas, proposals. Keep them coming ! Until next time , Love, M
