Sabon Face Polisher – Lemon Mint, review

Hello my lovely readers, I’m back today with a post that’s very looong overdue of a product I adore and can’t live without – the Sabon Face Polisher in Lemon Mint. I had had and used this face scrub for a really long time, it’s finished now so it was time I tell you about it. This is my go-to face scrub in the hotter seasons, due to its wonderful, refreshing scent.

The  Sabon Face Polisher in Lemon Mint is a cream-based face scrub, with delicate mint fragrance, containing tiny scrubbing beads for light exfoliation. With its fresh scent, it is recommended  to use the polisher twice weekly to stimulate circulation and maintain an even toned complexion.

The scrub contains Mint oil, a natural antiseptic, combined with Lemongrass to refresh and recharge the complexion, while the Glycerin protects the skin from moisture loss.

It comes in a 200 ml pot (I would have preferred a squeezy  tube for a better hygiene, a better control of the product and to be more travel friendly) and has a valability of 12 months. It has indeed a creamy texture, with tiny scrubbing beads that do the gentle exfoliation (you can see them below).

My skin is not very sensitive or intolerant, it’s quite oily, my pores clog especially in the summer time so I need a mechanical exfoliation. Due to its fine scrubbing beads the Sabon Face Polisher is gentle to the skin. After using it, I felt my skin clean, revived and refreshed. Oh, what a wonderful feeling in the scorching summer time!

I did not have any skin reactions to it like reddening, irritations or itching (do not use it over open scratches, wounds, zits or any other skin issues, it will burn).

Ingredients : Aqua (Water), Isopropyl Myristate, Propylene Glycol, Acrylates Copolymer, Cetyl Alcohol , Glyceryl Stearate, Polyethylene, Peg-40 Stearate, Mentha Arvensis leaf Oil , Gluconolactone, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbitan Tristearate, Cetyl Esters , P-Anisic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, CI 77289 (Chromium Hydroxide Green), Tetrasodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Benzoic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Magnesium Chloride, Cymbopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass Oil ) oil, Magnesium Nitrate , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone.

You can find it in all Sabon stores and online at the price of aprox. 95 ron/40 dollars.

All in all, the Sabon Face Polisher in Lemon Mint is a fantastic scrub for the oily/combination skin! It gently and effectively unclogs the pores and exfoliate the skin leaving it clean, revived and refreshed. It is a little pricey but for me it’s worth all the money, the feeling I have after using it is wonderful! The 200 ml will last you for a long time since you need a small amount for each use. Therefore I give it the -A (for the high price). If you need a good, gentle mechanic exfoliator give this one a go! Until next time,  Love, M
