MustaeV Color Powder in Starlight Powder Pink and Moonlight Powder Champagne, review

Hello my sweet readers, I’m back today with a double review on two gorgeous pigments I received from MustaeV a while ago. Initially I thought about reviewing them separately but since there are some differences between them, I decided to write a joint review comparing both of them. The stars of this post are : MustaeV’s Color Powder pigments in Starlight Powder Pink and Moonlight Powder Champagne. Let’s discover them one by one:

MustaeV Color Powder in Starlight Powder Pink :

It is a loose glitter pearl powder to sparkle your day and especially your night. It contains micro-sized, crease-free glitter particles that adhere well to the skin and stay on for a long time. It can be used on the eye area for a touch of glam, on top of the face powder, over the clavicle and over the lip gloss for an artistic touch.

MustaeV Color Powder pigment in Starlight Powder Pink has 2.5 grams of product and comes in the usual sleek and elegant MustaeV packaging that’s very easy to use. The only objection I have to the pot containing the glitter is that it hasn’t got a screen, when you open it if you are not very careful you can be filled with glitter from head to toe. In the box you can also find the ingredient list. It has a gorgeous cold pink, shimmery colour that I love. On  its own it doesn’t adhere well onto the lid, tends to fall down on the cheeks and disappears quickly.

Over a base it is a very different story. I tested the MustaeV Color Powder pigment in Starlight Powder Pink over MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and over my very favourite base Wjcon Soft Eyeshadow in 09.  The best result was over the golden-pink base from Wycon, the colour of the pigment was even more enhanced, it adhered well and didn’t have a fall-out. On the neutral MAC base it showed less the beauty of the glitter, its shine was less pronounced.

On both bases it remained creaseless for over 6 hours, even on my very oily lids. You can see the results in the swatches  below , from left to right – on its own, over MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (middle) and over Wjcon Soft Eyeshadow in 09.

MustaeV Color Powder pigment in Moonlight Powder Champagne :

It is a loose color powder that emits different iridescent luminous colours depending on the angle you look at it. It contains fine, micro-sized, coloured particles that create a warm glow to the face and adhere well to the skin and stay on for a long time. It can be used as an eyeshadow for a touch of glam at night or a discrete glow at day, on top of the face powder, over the cheeks as highlighter, over the clavicle (on a bronzed skin it will look fab) and over the lip gloss or lipstick for an artistic touch.

Mustaev-COLOR POWDER MOONLIGHT - CHAMPAGNE -beautyinfiveminutescom0MustaeV Color Powder pigment in Moonlight Powder Champagne has 2.5 grams of product and comes in the same MustaeV packaging that’s very easy to use. In the box you can also find the ingredient list. It has a gorgeous warm peach and a luminous glow that I  adore. On  its own it adheres better onto the lid than the Pink glitter, but still tends slightly to fall down on the cheeks.

Over a base it is much better. I tested the MustaeV Color Powder pigment in Moonlight Powder Champagne over MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and over my very favourite base Wjcon Soft Eyeshadow in 15.  The best result was over the champagne base from Wycon, the colour of the pigment was better enhanced, it adhered well and didn’t have a fall-out. On the neutral MAC base the colour intensity of the pigment was  slightly less pronounced.

On both bases it remained creaseless for over 6 hours, even on my very oily lids. You can see the results in the swatches  below , from left to right – on its own, over MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (middle) and over Wjcon Soft Eyeshadow in 15.

You can find its ingredients below :

Mustaev-COLOR POWDER MOONLIGHT -CHAMPAGNE -beautyinfiveminutescom-ingredientsI have done two day-time looks using each pigment very sparingly and I love them both (you can find them here Pink Sparkle make-up look and Golden Peach make-up look). There is a difference in texture between them : the Starlight Powder Pink has indeed glitter particles, but I noticed they are still slightly larger to be used well  onto the eyes and face. They are chunkier and still have fall-out even over a good, sticky base. You can see in the swatches that the texture of the area is not unified and smooth. The blending must be done before using this pigment, otherwise it will fall onto the cheeks and face.

I like the Moonlight Powder Champagne pigment better due to its texture, it has very fine milled particles that have less fall-out and can be well-blended and give an even glow to the eyes or face. They are both well  pigmented so you’ll need a very small amount – the amount will last you for quite a while!

All in all, I love both of the MustaeV Color Powder pigments in Starlight Powder Pink and Moonlight Powder Champagne. They will definitely be the stars of the make-up look and when wearing them you will definitely be the center of attention. You can find them on mustaevusa.com at the price of 15 dollars each. I think they are definitely worth it, so I give them the A grade. Until next time,  Love M
