Monica’s beauty in five minutes is a blog about everything beauty in a nutshell to suit the busy lifestyle in which we live in. All through my eyes and personal experience. What I love, what I don’t and what I recommend. With a little dose of English in between.
I am an English teacher from Bucharest, Romania, 35+, who loves all things beauty : make-up, cosmetics, perfumes, jewelry and all the little things that make us women happy. I share all my beauty stories and experiences with you. Here are some facts about me :
Hair – dark brown – oily, thin, straight, lacks volume and tangles easily.
Complexion – combination to oily (especially in the T zone), dehydrated/dry in the cheek and mouth areas. Very oily, hooded lids.
Skin issues – wrinkles in the eye and forehead area, slight dark circles under the eyes.
Foundation – light shades, rose undertone (Mac nc20, Guerlain rose clair). I don’t need a full coverage in foundations (light, buildable towards medium – light, fresh textures) but I prefer them mattifying, long-lasting and non-transferable.
Body – slightly dry skin, not prone to allergies.
I like rose/peach/neutral shades especially for the eye looks, and strong peach, pink, red, berry shades for the lips. I prefer the highlight over the contouring, I like fresh, simple, neutral, slightly natural make-up looks with emphasis on the lips, mostly. I like to present on the blog some of my daily make-up looks and the products I have used for a long time because I want to show the products in the make-up looks, on the face not only in swatches, writing about them.
I like to try and experiment new products, techniques and beauty procedures and share my impressions on them on the blog. I write about the products I have purchased myself or I may have been sent for consideration of feature in the same honest and personal way, sharing my impressions and experiences with you. I carefully select the brands I collaborate with – to suit me, my personality and my blog. Out of respect for me and my readers I reserve the right to select the comments and links that appear on my blog – made in a respectful and appropriate manner.
