I’m back my lovely readers with a new make-up look; I usually love to use neutral shades on my lids and strong, bold lipsticks. This time I thought about doing a bold night-time look – the black smokey eye look to see how it would look on me and how easy or difficult it is to achieve, with the help of the Pure Glam eyeshadow from Too Faced Christmas limited edition palette A Few of My Favourite Things (I love the innocence of The Sound of Music by the way..) and the MUSTAEV TEN SHADE LIP CREAM PRO PALETTE, I adore.
I have thought about showing you some of my daily make-up looks and the products I use for a long time and it has proved difficult for me so far since I often don’t have time to photo the products and the make-up look. But I’ll try my best ; I want to show you the products in the make-up look, on the face not only in swatches, writing about them. Let’s begin :
I started with a face cleanse using a micellar water, then applied a cream to moisturize the face. After letting the cream be absorbed into the skin, I moved to the eyes, I applied a good base the Lancôme Ombre Hypnose stylo crayon in 05 Erika F, blending it well. Over it I applied in layers, blending it well and adding another layer and so on, the star of this make-up look – the Pure Glam eye shadow from Too Faced Christmas limited edition palette A Few of My Favourite Things.
The eye shadow is bold and dark and has fall-out, so after finishing the eye look, I cleansed well the skin with micellar water. I also used a black eye crayon on the top and bottom of the eyes and the waterline – the Wjcon Long Lasting Eye Liner in 01 Deep Black.
I used some of my Inglot nude eye shadows to blend well the shade of black into the crease – you can see them here : Inglot love. I blended the 344 dusky pink in the crease and added under the eye brows the 341 matte white mono eye shadow.
I applied mascara on both top and bottom lashes – Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara/Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus Full Treatment Formula (one of my very favourites). I also filled my small gaps in the brows with my love Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown.
Back to the base, I applied around one full pump of Guerlain Teint de Perfection foundation (review soon), mixed with MustaeV lustruous cream base, onto the face with my Sigma kabuki brush, blending it well onto the face and neck.
I followed with the Clinique concealer, covering my dark circles, then I set both the concealer and foundation with the Melkior Loose Powder in Natural. If I set the liquid/creamy products with powder they will last all day onto the skin together with the make-up.
I applied the Milani Luminoso blush onto the cheeks (a lovely peach-golden blush). I really believe that a good blush suitable for your skin and hair color works wonders! It revives a tired complexion, makes you look good even if you are sick and makes you look younger and fresh if applied sparingly for a natural effect.
On the lips I kept a neutral look, with MUSTAEV TEN SHADE LIP CREAM PRO PALETTE, the shade 1 on my post Orange (on the MustaeV site). Over it I applied the MustaeV Glazing Lip Gloss in Golden Peach for a sensual, glossy look.
You can find most of the products used for this look in Sephora, Douglas, Kendra, Marionnaued and online. Check out the official sites.
I hope you like the make-up look. If you have questions related to the products I used in the make-up look, don’t hesitate to ask! I would love to hear your comments, ideas, proposals. Keep them coming ! Until next time , Love M
