Today I thought about telling you my impressions on the latest shampoo I had finished the Biosilk Silk Therapy Shampoo. My hair is quite oily, lacks volume and tangles easily. So I’m always on the hunt for the right shampoo for my hair.
The product is formulated with silk proteins, botanical extracts and herbs so the hair is left soft, shiny and looking luxurious. It is a deeply nourishing formula that gently cleanses the hair and scalp, leaving it clean and healthy with great volume.
The Biosilk Silk Therapy shampoo is formulated with silk proteins that penetrate the hair, providing conditioning and incredible shine. When used regularly, it encourages healthy hair growth. The shampoo is safe for all hair types, including dry and color-treated hair. Sounds good, right ?
Instructions for use : Apply to scalp and work into a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if desired.
The shampoo comes in a 207 ml bottle and has a valability of 12 months. It has a slightly thicker formula with a very pleasant sweet scent I love. It gently cleansed my hair leaving it very soft and perfumed. I didn’t have any scalp reactions to it like itching and it didn’t cause me dandruff.
It slightly increased my oiliness and it did not improve my hair volume. My hair felt clean and nourished but I did have to increase the period between washes or to use dry shampoo. I didn’t observe an increase or decrease in my hair.
Ingredients : Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Polysorbate 20, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Citric Acid, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Silk, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Symphytum Officinale Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract, Parfum/Fragrance, Benzyl Benzoate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone.
All in all, Biosilk Silk Therapy shampoo is a good shampoo, gently cleansing and nourishing the hair. But it is definitely not the right one for my hair. It slightly increased my oiliness and my time between washes. Therefore I give it the B grade. I am certain that it is a great choice for dry, dehydrated hair. For me the search for the perfect shampoo continues. Until next time, Love M
